About Us. Flip Video Spotlight Mission and Network

What Do We Do

Mission

To help nonprofit organizations use the power of video to make the world a better place.

Our Commitment

Deliver one million Flip Video camcorders to qualified nonprofit organizations over the next 5 years.

Our History

Pure Digital Technologies announced the Flip Video Spotlight program in September 2007 at the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative. We imagine the impact that video would make if every nonprofit organization had a camcorder to tell the world about problems that need to be solved, opportunities that need to be seized, abuses that need to be corrected, and people who need to be extolled.

The Program will distribute Flip Video Ultra camcorders. These are easy-to-use, high-quality devices with on-board software to enable editing, organizing, and video publishing through AOL, YouTube, MySpace, and other popular video sharing sites.

The Flip Video Spotlight Network

Participating Partners

Nonprofit organizations do incredible everyday work that the public rarely sees. Participating partners are qualified nonprofit organizations committed to using video to achieve their program goals. Organizations can apply to become a participating partner here.

Spotlight Sponsors

Imagine the impact that video would make if most on-the-ground staff members or volunteers had both a camcorder and the ability to broadcast that message to the world.

Sponsors make financial resources available, directly or indirectly, to participating partners for acquisition of Flip Video Spotlight Kits. Spotlight sponsors may include foundations, giving networks, corporate giving programs, and other enabling institutions.

Spotlight Supporters

Pure Digital Technologies is proud of the constellation of suppliers, vendors, and business partners who make the Flip Video Spotlight program possible through their generous donations of services and goods.
